TVO partners with Ministry of Education to launch the Ontario Online Course Preview

As an organization driven to inspire learning, TVO is pleased to support the Ministry of Education as it launches the Ontario Online Course Preview for secondary students.

The course preview is the Ministry of Education’s platform for showcasing online courses that are available to publicly funded school boards across the province. Along with our partners at TFO, TVO has been instrumental in designing the Course Preview site and has developed all 30 English language courses included on the site. The courses, which will be available to school boards through the Ministry’s Virtual Learning Environment, cover a range of subjects for Grades 9 -12, including math, science, English, business and social sciences.

“Thousands of parents, students and educators rely on TVO’s digital learning resources to help them meet their educational goals,” says Jennifer Hinshelwood, COO of TVO. “We’re proud to put our expertise to work to assist the Ministry of Education with their initiative to provide quality online learning to students across the province.”

Michelle Séguin, acting CEO of Groupe Média TFO adds, “We are proud to support the Ministry of Education and contribute, along with TVO and our French-language partners, to its enhanced online learning offering for all Ontario high school students with the development of an accessible, inclusive, and equitable Ontario Online Course Preview.”

The launch of the Ontario Online Course Preview and the creation of these courses are milestones for TVO as the organization continues to grow its portfolio of online learning products and services, which includes TVO LearnTVO MathifyTVO mPower, and Ontario’s largest online high school TVO ILC.
