Ron Ahluwalia has built a multidisciplinary career across the federal and Ontario governments and professional regulation, with more than 15 years of experience spanning policy, communications, legislation, law, government and governance. Navigating complex, high-stakes environments where policy, law and politics intersect, Ron specializes in building consensus where interests compete and delivering meaningful public interest outcomes. As Director of Policy to the Minister of Canadian Heritage, Ron led files related to broadcasting, online safety for children and the CBC, and has also held senior roles with the Office of the Government House Leader of Ontario and in Ontario’s regulatory sector.


As Vice President, Strategy & Planning at TVO, Ron helps shape organizational strategy, planning and governance in support of TVO’s mandate to inspire learning that changes lives and enriches communities. Known for finding elegant solutions to complex problems, he builds authentic relationships and advances progress through collaboration, clear execution and trust. He believes in leading high-performing teams with a focus on continuous learning.


Ron holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia and a law degree from the University of Ottawa.
