Mitch Patten
Vice President, Corporate & Community Affairs
Mitch Patten is a communications and public affairs leader with a record of success in both the public and private sectors. He is passionate about storytelling and accomplished at translating strategy into on-the-ground initiatives that achieve corporate goals.
Mitch’s responsibilities at TVO include leading the organization’s community and government relations as well as supporting the development and implementation of TVO’s strategic plan. His goal is to further build TVO’s brand recognition and relevance across Ontario, including with the public and education communities as well as government and industry stakeholders.
Prior to joining TVO, Mitch led communications and public affairs for companies in the infrastructure and utility sectors, and helped clients achieve their goals as a strategic communications consultant. Previously he spent several years in government, where he managed a minister’s office, served in senior roles in the Premiers' Office and led a small government agency.
Over his career Mitch has held responsibility for all aspects of corporate communications and public affairs – from branding and reputation management to employee communications, stakeholder relations, government affairs and investor relations.
