On November 5, we were proud to host the 4th Annual TVO Tribute Gala Presented by Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. It was a wonderful event, honouring Sheldon Levy for his enormous contributions to education in Ontario.
As I said in my remarks at the Gala, Sheldon has a special mix of talents. He is as generous as he is innovative, as kind as he is creative. He pushes boundaries and shares TVO’s embrace of learning and our vision of making Ontarians more aware and informed. His passion for education and civic engagement is contagious, and I believe Ontario is better for having Sheldon’s innovative leadership as an educator and city-builder.
Since 2012 we have raised more than $700,000 through this fundraising gala. I am thankful to the many friends of TVO who helped to make the event possible. It is a testament to the value that TVO brings to the province that all former Ontario Premiers were members of the Tribute Gala’s Honourary Committee. Thank you as well to CPA Ontario for their support as our Title Sponsor, to our Tribute Sponsor RBC, and to all of those who purchased tables in support of the Gala.
