TVO Podcasts

Arachnid *Narrative Podcast* (6 episodes) Premieres May 2025. Every day, tens of millions of disturbing images of child sexual abuse are shared across major online platforms, with victims suffering ongoing exploitation into adulthood as these materials continue to circulate. Despite available technology, like Canada’s Project Arachnid, which detects and flags these images, the powerful owners of online platforms resist action, often citing privacy laws. But in response survivors and a group of motivated supporters are banding together across the globe to protect kids. Confronting their own trauma, they are speaking out, advocating forchange internationally, demanding stronger laws that hold tech giants to account. This podcast series follows their long-shot fight against the most powerful companies in the world to end a massive, global trade in child sex abuse imagery.

The Oath *Narrative Podcast* (6 episodes) Premieres Wednesday, April 9. The Oath is a six-part investigative series about the power we give our doctors—and what can happen if they cross a line. Psychiatrists are held to a high standard for a reason: they see patients at their most vulnerable and are entrusted with their deepest secrets. So, what happens if a psychiatrist allegedly violates that trust? The Oath examines the case of Dr. Melvyn Iscove, whose medical license was revoked in 2018 after he was accused of sexually abusing two patients. The case raises serious questions about Ontario’s medical regulator: Is it doing enough to protect patients, and how does it handle potential cases of so-called “conversion therapy”?
