Pulitzer Prize winner joins Steve Paikin for a timely discussion on trade, globalization, and shifting alliances
Toronto, Ontario, May 21, 2025 – TVO Today Live presents an evening with Pulitzer Prize winner, best-selling author and New York Times columnist, Thomas L. Friedman, taking place on May 28 at the Isabel Bader Theatre in Toronto.
Hosted by Steve Paikin of TVO’s The Agenda, this timely event will draw on the deep-rooted geographic and historical ties between Canada and the United States to understand how momentous shifts the global order could play out along the 49th parallel. As the U.S. under the Trump administration abruptly turned its back on long-standing trade policy and adopted a newly threatening stance toward allies, including Canada, this discussion with explore critical questions that emerge about the Canada-U.S. relationship.
