Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World *Docuseries* (4 x 60 min) Premieres Tuesday, February 3. Kicking off Black History Month, this four-part documentary delves into the history and evolution of hip hop as a powerful cultural force. The series examines how hip hop emerged from the Bronx to become a global phenomenon, serving as a voice for marginalized communities and a platform for political expression. International Women’s Day
Never Look Away *Documentary* (85 min) Premieres Saturday, March 7. The unbelievable, true story of Margaret Moth, a pioneering news camerawoman dedicated to documenting the civilian impact of war. While covering Sarajevo in 1992 for CNN, Moth was shot in the head by a sniper losing the lower half of her face. After more than a dozen surgeries, Moth returned to her coverage of war zones, refusing to let her traumas and injuries hold her back. Shamed *Documentary* (84 min) Premieres Sunday, January 18. Blurring the lines between justice and entertainment, Jason Nassr’s Creeper Hunter TV had a 5-year run of publicly identifying and shaming suspected child predators online. When one of these suspects dies by suicide, Nassr is investigated and convicted of extortion, harassment, and distribution of written child abuse material. Shamed is a serious look at Nassr’s online vigilantism and a criminal justice system struggling to contain the fallout. Viewer discretion is advised. For the Love of Movies *Docuseries* (5 x 30min) Premieres Saturday, March 28. For nearly 40 years, TVO’s Saturday Night at the Movies, hosted by the beloved Elwy Yost, invited viewers into the magical world of cinema – from the silent era and Hollywood’s golden age to today’s brightest stars. This new series delves into the TVO archives to reveal often never-before-seen interviews with cinematic legends and visionaries. The first episode centers around Canadian comedy, featuring archival footage from icons like John Candy, Martin Short, Mike Myers and Catherine O’Hara.
