TVO Media Education Group Welcomes Two New Board Members

Toronto, Ontario, November 1, 2023 – TVO Media Education Group (TVO) is pleased to announce the appointment of two additional, highly accomplished professionals to its board of directors, Kate Harrison and Andrew Brander.

Ms. Kate Harrison is Vice Chair of Summa Strategies, specializing in communication and consumer issues. She joins the board with nearly 15 years of experience creating and implementing advocacy campaigns. A skilled strategist, Ms. Harrison advises clients ranging from non-profits to Fortune 500 companies on how to navigate complexity. A mom of two and a former ‘TVO kid’ herself, Kate is also a regular commentator on local and national media outlets. Ms. Harrison lives in Ottawa.

Mr. Andrew Brander is a Vice President at Crestview Strategy and award-winning communications professional with 20 years of experience working alongside senior leaders and decision-makers in both the private and public sectors. Mr. Brander also has worked with a number of non-profits and is active within the Macanese-Canadian community. Mr. Brander lives in Toronto.

In accordance with the Ontario Educational Communications Authority Act, TVO’s Board of Directors is appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council to provide strategic oversight for the organization while ensuring value for all Ontarians. Ms. Harrison and Mr. Brander have been appointed to two-year terms that run until October 17, 2025.
