Acclaimed author makes her only Toronto appearance on November 28, featuring a live audience Q&A.
Toronto, ON, November 14, 2024 – TVO Today Live is thrilled to announce a special evening featuring the internationally celebrated Canadian author Margaret Atwood on November 28 at the Isabel Bader Theatre. This will be Atwood’s only stop in Toronto following the release of her latest book, Paper Boat, making it a must-see event for fans and literary enthusiasts alike.
Hosted by Steve Paikin of TVO’s The Agenda, this thought-provoking conversation, titled “The Art of Democracy,” will bring together Atwood and Paikin to examine today’s most pressing democratic issues. Atwood, celebrated for her iconic novels like The Handmaid’s Tale, Alias Grace, and Oryx & Crake, will leverage her five decades of literary exploration and proven skills as an incisive observer of people and politics to offer her unique insights on core democratic values, authoritarianism, and the ways facts are sometimes stranger than fiction.
Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to engage with Atwood during an audience Q&A at this free event.
