Supporting Ontario’s educators in professional development

January is a great time to set resolutions, and at TVO, we are always looking for new ways to learn! We’re starting off the New Year by offering Ontario’s educators a new way to engage in online professional learning.

Hosted on the award-winning TeachOntario online community for educators, the Professional Learning Series webinars are designed to help educators stay up-to-date on the latest in teaching and learning, digital tools and professional development. The series kicks-off this week and explores leading-edge topics like, Integrating Coding into the Elementary School ClassroomTransforming Learning Spaces, and using Virtual and Augmented Reality in the Classroom.

It’s a great example of how TVO is leveraging digital technology to showcase best practices in Ontario education and inspire innovation in the classroom.

Developed by TVO, in partnership with the Ontario Teachers’ Federation (OTF), its Affiliates and the Ministry of Education, TeachOntario is a community of more than 7,000 educators who connect, share and collaborate for the broader benefit of Ontario’s students. It’s a perfect space for professional learning.

At TVO, we believe that learning has the power to change the world. By supporting educators to come together to learn and share, we’re helping to support Ontario’s educators as they help Ontario’s students succeed.
