I’m delighted to share the news that Peter O’Brian, TVO’s Board Chair, is this year’s Directors Guild of Canada’s Honourary Life Member Award recipient. This award is presented to an individual, “whose outstanding contribution to the industry has had a major beneficial impact on the Guild and Guild members.”
I know that Peter’s impressive and award-winning body of work has influenced many Canadian filmmakers, and that his incredible dedication to the film industry over the years makes him a most deserving recipient. The Directors Guild of Canada is recognizing Peter’s devotion to cinema and television arts, and I wholeheartedly agree—TVO is fortunate to have such an accomplished leader in Canadian cinema as our Board Chair.
