Owen Lambert joins TVO as Vice President of Revenue, Product Development and Marketing

Chief Executive Officer, Lisa de Wilde, is pleased to announce that Owen Lambert has joined TVO  as Vice President of Revenue, Product Development and Marketing.

With a calm energy and drive for innovation, Owen will expand how TVO leverages digital technology to create powerful moments of learning. He will play a key role in building out TVO’s digital strategy and focusing on TVO’s financial sustainability, leading the growth of self-generated revenues and product and marketing initiatives to support TVO’s strategic priorities of digital learning and in-depth current affairs journalism.

Owen will lead the product strategy for TVO’s digital learning products that support learning inside and outside the classroom and for its high-quality, in-depth journalism that informs and engages the people of Ontario. Owen’s passion for building data-driven, empowered, outcome-focused teams will be an invaluable addition to TVO’s leadership as we continue to seek out new ways to achieve even greater impact.

Joining TVO from Postmedia, as Managing Director, Audience and Consumer Products, Owen was the architect of the organization’s transformation into a data company and led a product stack used monthly by more than half of Canadians. Prior to Postmedia, Owen managed Metro News’ full digital product suite as Senior Product Manager. He also brings experience in the education sector, including as Manager, Business Applications Architect for the Vancouver Film School and as Lead Multimedia and Web Developer for a K-12 second language e-learning company.

TVO is supporting learning inside and outside the classroom with our digital learning products and our high-quality, in-depth journalism. Last year alone, TVO sparked 145 million moments of learning, for government funding equivalent to a penny per day per Ontarian.
