Toronto, Ontario, October 2, 2025 – TVO Media Education Group (TVO) announces seasoned journalist Jeyan Jeganathan as host of The Rundown with Katie O’Connor as Managing Editor. Earlier this year, TVO announced the new 30-minute current affairs show that will provide viewers with a deep dive of pressing issues that matter to Ontarians.
Produced by the award-winning team behind The Agenda, The Rundown will offer the same journalistic integrity and depth in a faster-paced format. Through panel discussions, field interviews and engaging video content, the show will explore the social, political and economic issues shaping life in the province.
“Jeyan brings a sharp intellect and a calm, confident presence. His interview style is thoughtful and respectful, he listens deeply, asks meaningful questions, and creates space for honest dialogue. Jeyan co-hosted The Agenda since 2017 giving him deep understanding of the province and strong on-air presence. He was the clear choice to host this next evolution in public affairs programming.

Starting October 20, viewers across Canada can join in the countdown to The Rundown. Tune in as Jeyan and the TVO production team give audiences a unique behind-the-scenes look as the show comes together, testing out ideas to see what works best and giving Ontarians a chance to weigh in.
