Black Student Summer Leadership Program

Toronto District School Board, Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement is the first of its kind in public education in Canada. It offers a range of programs, initiatives and engagement opportunities for students and families, including the Black Student Summer Leadership Program (BSSLP). The BSSLP provides Black students in grades 10 -12 in the Toronto District School Board with experiential learning opportunities within a variety of career fields where Black professionals are often underrepresented. The aim is to introduce students to a range of academic and career pathways to enhance their future employability. TVO has been a proud participant in this program since its inception in 2021.

    Internship &
    co-op placements

TVO is proud to work with schools to offer student development opportunities—providing exposure to our business and our educational programs. Each placement introduces students to real-world skills and competencies required for young professionals.
