Lara Barlow is a highly respected and accomplished executive in the media,  digital publishing, and travel industries, with a career spanning over 20 years. She is renowned for her exceptional leadership skills and her ability to bring innovation and create meaningful impact.

Most recently, as General Manager for Travelzoo, US, Lara had end-to-end responsibility across departments and functions. In addition to executing a successful business turnaround, she launched the diversity, equity, and inclusion mandate at Travelzoo, and five strategic employee-led DE&I projects. Previously, as GM, Canada, Lara led Travelzoo's Canadian business to become the global leader across audience, revenue, and operational growth metrics, and won a Timmy Award in 2019 for Best Tech Workplace for Diversity.

Prior to joining Travelzoo, Lara held senior leadership roles at the Toronto Star, where she led new product development, strategic projects, and diversification efforts. She was also responsible for overseeing sales, marketing, and customer service teams, and played an instrumental role in introducing content focused on the South Asian community in Toronto.

As VP Impact, Lara draws on her significant content, marketing, and digital experience to drive adoption across the portfolio, transforming and leading all aspects of marketing, communication, philanthropy, and sponsorship throughout the organization.

Lara holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University) and a marketing-focused international Master of Business Administration from Schulich School of Business at York University.
